Wenn du an so vielen guten Plätzen warst,
dass es sich anfühlt,
als wäre es unmöglich, an all diese Orte
noch einmal zurück zu kehren.
Du dir unsicher bist, ob du diesen Menschen noch einmal
in diesem Leben begegnen wirst.

Schmetterlingsmädchen
Der Schmetterling symbolisiert Leichtigkeit.
Leichtigkeit, die traumatisierten Mädchen
gestohlen wurde, und mit der sie wieder
gekleidet werden sollen.
Mädchen gehören zu den verletzlichsten Wesen,
die es gibt.
Gerade in Indonesien haben sie mit vielen
Schwierigkeiten zu kämpfen,
das war meine Hauptmotivation, dieses Porträt zu malen.
Der „Graphium Euphrat“ ist eine Schmetterlingsart,
die in Indonesien häufig vorkommt.
Die typischen kleinen Inseln im Hintergrund
stehen stellvertretend für die tausenden
von indonesischen Inseln.

The butterfly symbolizes lightness.
Lightness that has been stolen from traumatized girls
and with which they should be clothed again.
Girls are among the most vulnerable beings there are.
Especially in Indonesia they have to struggle with many difficulties,
that was my main motivation for painting this portrait.
The "Graphium Euphrat" is a type of butterfly
that is common in Indonesia.
The typical small islands in the background represent
the thousands of Indonesian islands.

The images can also be ordered in a smaller or larger format, with prices adjusted accordingly. The maximum length for posters is 118 cm, while canvas prints can be up to 100 cm. (Extra-large formats are available upon request.)
